ABOUT THE PUBLICATION

Practical guidance.
Evidence in the open.

Adviser AI Guide helps UK IFA businesses make considered decisions about AI. It is published by Compliant Paraplanning Services Ltd and supports Steven Calvert’s AI consultancy.

Who stands behind the site

Steven Calvert provides the consultancy through Compliant Paraplanning Services Ltd. The company also provides paraplanning and lead-generation services. This site’s main offer is practical advice on using AI in an IFA business.

Guides link to our services where relevant. That commercial interest should be clear when you consider our point of view. Adviser AI Guide is an original publication and is not affiliated with Adviser Software, FTRC or the search providers it discusses.

How we describe evidence

  • Practical frameworks are our proposed methods to adapt to your firm, not regulatory standards.
  • Fictional examples use invented records and are labelled. They are not client cases or performance claims.
  • Generated outputs are published with the source and prompt where an example depends on what the assistant produced.
  • Observed findings state who checked what, including whether the review was by AI. Coverage of a checklist is not a general accuracy score.
  • Supplier claims remain supplier claims unless we have actually tested and documented the relevant behaviour.
  • External sources are linked near the point they support. Dates show publication or material updates, not a claim of continual monitoring.

AI assistance and review

We use AI for research, drafting and development. The 8 September 2026 meeting-note demonstration was generated and initially checked by the same assistant, then examined by a separate AI reviewer. Neither review was human validation. The saved output remains visible alongside identified omissions.

We do not claim measured savings, delivered client outcomes, independent professional endorsement or named product tests without supporting evidence. Professional qualifications on Steven’s profile are identified as drawn from his LinkedIn profile.

Corrections and reuse

If a source changes or you find an error, contact us with the article title, relevant passage and evidence. Material corrections should be reflected in the article’s update date and an explanatory note where the change affects a finding.

You may adapt the downloadable worksheets for use within your own firm. When sharing an example or discussing a finding publicly, link to the original page so readers can inspect its context and limitations.
